Portable SuperMSConfig v1.4.0.0
Super Microsoft Configuration/Super System Configuration, created by the author of xd-AntiSpy. Many of us know MSConfig, the tool that helps you manage some system settings. SuperMSConfig Portable takes things a step further by automating many of these tasks.
SuperMSConfig Portable takes the xd-AntiSpy dynamic to the next level, offering global system checks and adjustments across a wide range of areas. xd-AntiSpy is designed as an anti-spyware tool, while SuperMSConfig Portable becomes the go-to hub for fine-tuning your Windows 10 or Windows 11 configuration to perfection.
Now with support for Microsoft Copilot.
SuperMSConfig Portable is an advanced and fully automated alternative to the traditional MSConfig tool, designed specifically for Windows 11. Unlike the classic MSConfig, which focuses on modifying startup parameters or disabling device drivers, SuperMSConfig Portable takes a broader approach as a comprehensive system checker. It scans your system for Windows 11’s most annoying configurations and bad habits, such as unwanted services, sneaky startup apps, intrusive browser tweaks, system configurations, unnecessary updates, security settings, ads, and more.
SuperMSConfig Portable started out as a simple plugin for xd-AntiSpy, but it grew into its own app because it became more complex and feature-packed. While xd-AntiSpy mainly focuses on boosting privacy, SuperMSConfig Portable takes a broader approach, helping you analyse an clean up different parts of your Windows system. The two apps work great together, with SuperMSConfig Portable handling the overall system management while xd-AntiSpy focuses on privacy.
My plan with SuperMSConfig Portable is to create a dynamic tool that lets you turn almost any online guide, tutorial, or configuration into a shareable template, available for everyone to use. This way, anyone can show off their Super Microsoft configuration setup.
SuperMSConfig Portable is evolving into a more “intelligent” MSConfig tool. With the support of Microsoft Copilot, you can now ask questions about each setting. Simply upload the SuperMSConfig Portable log into Copilot if you have any uncertainties.
Release Notes:
- Simplified UI with a fresh look inspired by the current Copilot (NOT a web app!). The Start screen is gone – so no more clicking “Next” to access the main UI. You can still launch the “How-to Wizard” via the main menu (hamburger icon in the top-left)
- The main menu for the app, extensions, and Copilot integration is accessed through the large Copilot icon. If you don’t want to use the Copilot plugin, simply delete the “PluginClipilot” from the plugins folder
- General app performance improved. The first launch may take a few extra seconds, but subsequent starts are as fast as popping open the Windows 11 Start menu 😉
- Enhanced the Companion Wrapper for plugin integrations like Copilot and Microsoft Cleanup Companion
- Refined OOBE scan for the latest Windows 11 24H2 release
- Fixed issues where the app wouldn’t start on some non-English Windows 11 setups, particularly due to Copilot integration issues
