Mp3tag Portable is a powerful yet easy to use tool for editing metadata of popular audio formats where it supports ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes MP4, WMA, Vorbis Comments and APE Tags . It can rename files based on tag information, replace characters or words in tags and filenames, import/export tag information, create playlists, and more. Mp3tag supports searching online databases from Amazon, discogs or freedb, allowing you to automatically collect the appropriate tags and covers for your music library.

  • Multiple Output Export: Added support for exporting to multiple output files by grouping input files according to a user-defined format string and exporting each group separately.

  • New Scripting Functions:

    • fmtDate: Formats raw timestamps into human-readable dates using custom format strings.

    • columnNames(x,y) & columnValues(x,y): Retrieves all names and values of File List columns.

    • Optional 4th parameter for $list() to specify custom separators for multiple field values.

  • Associated File Renaming: Added support for updating renamed associated .cdg and .lrc files when they are configured to be listed in the File List.

  • Web Sources Framework Extensions: Extended json_foreach to iterate JSON objects and output object keys via json_foreach_counter.

Fixes

  • UI Bugs: Fixed a missing horizontal scrollbar on horizontally-aligned Tag Panels when the cover window element was disabled.

  • Drag-and-Drop: Fixed an issue where the cover window on the Tag Panel allowed adding covers via drag-and-drop even when no files were selected.

  • Chapters & Tags: Fixed issue preventing non-text tracks from being incorrectly parsed as QuickTime MP4 chapters.

  • Export Configurations: Fixed an issue where exported configuration ZIP archives used Windows path separators, causing compatibility issues on Linux.

  • Tag Panel Navigation: Fixed an issue where moving a separator item under Options > Tag Panel displayed an empty item name.
